Alliance Française Querétaro hosts the artwork of Houda Bakkali

Submitted by Houda Bakkali

From 07/23/2024 to 10/31/2024, Alliance Française of Querétaro exhibits the artistic work of Houda Bakkali. An exhibition in which the public can approach digital art in its different versions, from printing to virtual spaces or immersive works that can be enjoyed through augmented reality.

With this exhibition by Bakkali, art and creativity merge with informative content and meetings on the challenges of digital art beyond the artistic work, assessing its uses, utilities and opportunities, as well as the power that new technologies have to democratize art and bring it closer to the public by breaking spatial, temporal and generational barriers, making it more accessible to the public, making it understandable, creating spaces that enrich the physical canvas, that go beyond it, creating messages that unite entertainment and information in spaces created so that the public can immerse themselves, enjoy and experience each work in different ways.

Digital art is versatility, says Houda, it allows me to create works to conquer different spaces, in different places, with different audiences of different sensibilities. And also to be able to do it at the same time, with the same tools, creating concepts that merge or contrast or complement each other.

I change the route of each exhibition, inventing new ways to surprise people, creating different rhythms so that the public participates in its dynamism and every time they see one of my works they discover a new detail, so they will always see a new work in the same work as always.

My art speaks of simple things, of color, of life, of hopeful looks and of the future, always valuing our legacy. Art and new technologies allow us to weave the most enriching encounters, alliances between different audiences and between different looks.

It is a continuous feedback between the institution, the public, the artist and art. A way for the works to grow and to do so hand in hand with all the people who contemplate them, who immerse themselves in them.

In this exhibition at the Alliance Française of Querétaro, begins “The Party” of digital art by the hand of some hosts who have made my work grow with their love and their time, that is the most extraordinary way to honor the work of an artist in a world heritage city, a global symbol of art, culture and diversity.”
