Gorgeous Prints & Packaging Design Collection – July 2020

Almost every business owner prefers to go digital with their brand. While this is most ideal method in terms of promoting a product or service, print media is still relevant. While the digital media is overcrowded with heavy contents and ads, print media still makes a huge impact in terms of marketing and promoting a brand or a product.

Marketing collateral like business cards, brochures, posters, T-shirts, and even product packaging give a tangible appeal to a brand, especially if they are designed in the most compelling manner like in the examples below. You’d think twice about discarding them.

FORMAT is a magazine run voluntarily by students of the University of Applied Sciences in Schwäbisch Gmünd. The issue of the 17th semester started with the leading theme upside down. As designers, we are constantly forced to question the status quo and change our perspectives to gain valuable insights. The Challenge of capturing was to capture the look and feel of this particular topic.

As a part of the editorship, I planned the development process along with my team members from the definition of the leading theme to the release and promotion. Furthermore, I was responsible for Art Directing Cover Design, Layout, Illustration, merchandise, and brought colorful compositions to life.

FORMAT #17 features articles about alternative creativity methods, the vision of the human eye, an interview with Looping Lovers and the type foundry New Letters, and an experimental photo series taken by students.
